Ingredients:
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375F 190C
In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, thyme, and cayenne pepper to create a spice rub
Rub the spice mixture evenly over each pork chop
In an oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat
Sear the pork chops for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned
Add butter and soy sauce to the skillet, then transfer it to the preheated oven
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145F 63C
Baste the pork chops with the pan juices halfway through the baking time
Remove from the oven and let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving
